The company uses trained dogs to sniff and detect mold where

Miami Beach native Scott Fredel, recently named one of the top 10
chefs in South Florida by Ocean Drive magazine, has opened Pilar in
the Promenade Shops at 20475 Biscayne Blvd. The restaurant, whose
name is inspired by Ernest Hemingway's famous fishing boat, offers
seafood and American fare. Fredel previously served as executive
chef of Rumi, a South Beach eatery. Pilar is open for dinner from 5
to 10 p.m. daily. The restaurant will also be open for lunch in the
